Pharmaceutical Material Handling & Blending Equipment

CDM (Creative Design & Machine) manufactures blending equipment, column lifts, and material handling systems for the pharmaceutical industry. Their product line addresses the physical movement and mixing of powders, granules, and bulk materials within solid dose manufacturing facilities – from bin blending through container lifting and process equipment feeding.

MHS Pharma represents CDM across the Northeast United States, supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers with equipment selection for blending, lifting, and material handling requirements in new builds and facility upgrades.

Why CDM

Purpose-Built for Pharma

CDM equipment is designed specifically for pharmaceutical cGMP environments – stainless steel construction, smooth weld finishes, and documentation packages ready for qualification.

Ergonomic Design

Column lifts and handling systems reduce manual lifting, improving operator safety and reducing injury risk in facilities that move heavy containers and drums daily.

Custom Engineering

CDM designs custom solutions matched to your specific container sizes, weights, ceiling heights, and process layouts. Not one-size-fits-all – engineered for your facility.

Reliable & Simple

Proven mechanical designs with minimal complexity. Easy to maintain, easy to clean, and built to last in demanding production environments.

Applications

CDM equipment is used across a broad range of pharmaceutical applications:

  • Bin blending of pharmaceutical powders and granules
  • IBC and drum lifting for gravity feeding of process equipment
  • Tablet press and capsule filler loading
  • Bulk material transfer between floor levels and mezzanines
  • Container washing and staging area handling
  • Ergonomic drum and container manipulation for operator safety

Equipment Range

CDM post blender

Post Blenders

cGMP tumble blenders with ball-screw lift and belt-driven rotation. Compatible with V-shell, double cone, offset cone, and bin vessels. Available with intensifier bar, RFID vessel ID, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant controls.

CDM dual-frame A-frame blender

Dual-Frame Blenders

High-capacity A-frame tumble blenders for production-scale blending up to 200 cu ft. Dual-support architecture with direct-drive gearmotor, precision barrel coupling, and full 304 SS construction. Same controls and options as the post blender line.

CDM pedestal blender through-wall

Pedestal Blenders

Compact floor-mounted blenders designed for through-wall installation. Mechanical components stay outside the clean processing area while only the vessel operates in classified space.

CDM lab and pilot blender

Lab & Pilot Blenders

Compact blenders for R&D and scale-up work. Lab units (up to 1 cu ft) sit on a tabletop with roll-back safety canopy. Pilot units (up to 10 cu ft) are portable on wheels. Same Allen-Bradley controls platform as production units.

CDM drum tipper

Drum Tippers

Sanitary post lifts for lifting and inverting drums for controlled discharge. Up to 500 lbs capacity with 270-degree rotation. Universal pneumatic clamping cradle, 316 SS discharge cone, and patent-pending magnetic positive seal closure.

CDM platform lift

Platform Lifts

Sanitary post lifts for moving equipment and materials between levels. Up to 5,000 lbs capacity with platforms up to 72 x 72 inches. Interlocked safety gates, ball-screw drive with fail-safe brake.

CDM bin IBC lift

Bin & IBC Lifts

Sanitary post lifts for raising and positioning IBCs for gravity discharge into downstream equipment. Up to 5,000 lbs capacity with optional load cells for gravimetric dispensing and low-profile design for pallet jack compatibility.

CDM portable lift

Portable Lifts

Mobile lifting solutions powered by battery or pneumatic drive. Non-marking casters with foot brake for flexible positioning across cleanroom areas. Custom lifting arms tailored to specific processes.
