Glass-Lined Reactors
Corrosion-Resistant Process Reactors — 3V Tech
Overview

3V Tech glass-lined reactors are process vessels for acid-service and aggressive chemistry where stainless steel or alloys would corrode. A fused glass lining gives the vessel interior the corrosion resistance of glass with the mechanical strength and pressure rating of a steel shell, making the range suited to API synthesis, hydrometallurgy, and fine chemical reactions.
The range is offered to both DIN and ASME standards. DIN-standard reactors cover nominal capacities from 63 L to 32,000 L, with the two-piece AE type spanning 63 L to 6,300 L and the one-piece BE type extending to 32,000 L. ASME-code reactors are U-stamped and built to ASME Section VIII Division 1, from the pilot-scale BT type at 10 to 500 gallons up to the PL type at 300 to 9,000 gallons.
Every reactor uses the proprietary 3V Press-Lock agitator system, a removable-blade design that simplifies maintenance while supporting application-specific mixing. Anchor, turbine, and three-retreat-blade impeller configurations are available, with the drive mechanism separated from the process area for clean operation. Glass-lining and reglassing services are carried out at the Andrews, South Carolina facility for domestic delivery.
Glass lining quality is controlled per DIN 28063, including a spark test to ISO 2746 at 20,000 V after lining. Pressure vessels are CE marked under PED 97/23/EC, or U-stamped for ASME-code builds.

Key Features
Press-Lock Agitator System
A proprietary removable-blade agitator simplifies maintenance and supports application-specific mixing for better mass transfer, heat transfer, and gas dispersion.
PHI Ceramic-Hybrid Glass
The G2208 PHI lining is a ceramic particle hybrid that delivers 30% higher thermal conductivity than standard glass, improving heat transfer at the same lining thickness.
DIN and ASME Builds
Reactors are offered to DIN standards from 63 L to 32,000 L and to ASME Section VIII Division 1 with U-stamp from 10 to 9,000 gallons, so the vessel matches the governing code.
High-Voltage Spark Testing
Glass lining is verified per DIN 28063 with a spark test to ISO 2746 at 20,000 V after lining and 12,000 V before shipment to confirm integrity.
RP Lining-Failure Probe
An optional RP probe detects glass-lining failure during operation, alongside fully glass-lined or tantalum-tip temperature, pH, and redox probes.
US Manufacturing and Reglassing
Glass-lining and reglassing are performed at the Andrews, South Carolina facility, with reglassing available for equipment from any manufacturer.
