SIP Systems (SS Series)
Standalone Sterilize-in-Place — McFlusion
Overview

The SS Series is McFlusion’s standalone, sterilize-in-place unit for the Life Sciences, biopharma, and vaccine industries. It is a dedicated SIP unit that delivers steam to a connected process item and runs the sterilization cycle on its own, separate from any cleaning equipment. It comes in two configurations: a portable version on McFlusion’s AISI 304 SS wheeled frame that can be moved to the equipment that needs sterilizing, and a compact wall or floor mounted version for a fixed installation where a permanent SIP point is preferred.
Each SS unit runs on McFlusion’s modular hardware and software platform: an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC and a 12 inch PC-based touchscreen HMI, with full TACCT parameter control, a recipe editor, alarm handling, and cycle reporting to PDF. Full instrumentation covers level, pressure, flow, temperature, and conductivity, and the operator can adjust pressure, flow rate, temperature, and chemical concentration directly from the HMI.
As a Life Sciences unit, the SS Series adds Process Builder Design (PBD) for software integration, AutoTune for automatic optimization of flow paths, and a Data Collection System (DCS) in TECH or GMP variants. SIP cycles run against F0 set points with pass/fail criteria, with cold spot monitoring at the lowest and hardest-to-heat points of the load.
AISI 316L stainless steel wetted parts. Supplied with full system design and QA documentation.

Key Features
Dedicated Standalone SIP
A SIP-only unit that delivers steam and runs the sterilization cycle on its own, separate from cleaning equipment, so a process item can be sterilized without a combined system.
Portable Wheeled Frame
The AISI 304 SS frame is mounted on wheels, so the unit can be brought to the homogenizer, filter station, or vessel that needs sterilizing rather than tied to one location.
F0-Verified Cycles
Sterilization runs against F0 set points with pass/fail criteria, recording accumulated lethality as time at temperature for each cycle.
Cold Spot Monitoring
Temperature sensors placed at the lowest and hardest-to-heat points confirm that the whole load reaches the required sterilization conditions.
Allen-Bradley Control Platform
A CompactLogix PLC and 12 inch PC-based touchscreen HMI provide TACCT parameter control, a recipe editor, alarm handling, and cycle reporting to PDF.
Life Sciences Data Collection
Process Builder Design and AutoTune support integration and flow path optimization, with a Data Collection System available in TECH or GMP variants plus full QA documentation.
Applications
- Homogenizers
- Aseptic fill lines with isolator technology
- Filter stations
- Formulation and holding vessels
- Bioreactors
- Ultrafiltration skids
