Overview
The Russell Compact Airlock Sieve is a high-containment vibratory sifter designed for pharmaceutical applications involving potent compounds. Its patented TLI (Twist, Lock and Inflate) pneumatic clamping system creates a validatable seal that achieves OEL level 5 containment, below 1 µg/m³, at the equipment level.
Most competing solutions require an isolator or downflow booth around the sieve to reach OEB5. The Airlock Sieve achieves it with the TLI system alone, saving floor space and capital cost while maintaining the same compact footprint and high throughput as the standard Compact Sieve.

Key Features
Equipment-Level OEB5
The patented TLI airlock provides validated OEL 5 containment without requiring an external isolator or downflow booth. Reduces infrastructure cost and floor space requirements.
Patented TLI Clamping
Twist, Lock and Inflate: place component parts into the base, locate by twisting and locking the lid (no tools), then inflate the pneumatic airclamp to secure and seal during operation. Eliminates dust release during mesh changes.
Minimal Operator Exposure
Designed to reduce operator involvement during sieving of potent compounds. The sealed system prevents powder leakage, protecting operators from cytotoxic, hormonal, and other high-hazard APIs.
Tool-Free Disassembly
All contact parts strip down without tools. Crevice-free, smooth surfaces enable rapid decontamination and product changeover between batches.
Validatable Seal
The pneumatic clamping system provides a measurable, validatable seal that supports FDA process approval. Complete DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ documentation packages available.
Compact Sieve Platform
Same compact footprint and high sieving capacity as the standard Compact Sieve. Half the headroom of traditional vibratory sieves. Compatible with Vibrasonic deblinding and other accessories.
