Pressure and Vacuum Nutsche Filters — 3V Tech
Overview
The FPP Nutsche Filter is 3V Tech’s agitated pressure filter for solid-liquid separation with integrated impurity removal. It carries out several process operations in a single closed vessel without operator exposure, which makes it suitable for pharmaceutical APIs and highly potent APIs.
A single charge can be inertised, filtered, smoothed, washed by displacement and by re-slurry, and the vessel cleaned in place, all without opening the unit. A top entry agitator with special teeth smooths and discharges the cake without mechanical product damage, and a side discharge port sits flush to the filter screen and vessel wall.
For aggressive acid duties a glass-lined variant, the FPP/GL, uses a G2208 enamel for corrosion resistance while retaining the same multi-function capability. Both stainless and glass-lined versions are available in chemical, pharmaceutical, and sterile builds.
Built in chemical, pharmaceutical, and sterile versions, with contained discharge and pack-off isolators rated up to OEB6.

Double Mechanical Seal
Flushed, dry running, or gas lift-off configurations keep the drive mechanism separated from the process area.
Flexible Discharge Options
Manually hinged plug into an isolator, hydraulic O-ring hatch, or hydraulic metal-to-metal straight and reverse hatches, with a side port flush to the screen.
Stainless or Glass-Lined
316L, Duplex, Alloy C22, and Titanium builds for filtering surfaces up to 16 m², or a G2208 glass-lined version for aggressive acid conditions.
