Vacuum Agitated Dryers — 3V Tech
Overview
3V Tech’s vertical dryers are agitated vacuum dryers for fine chemical and pharmaceutical production. The Mixodry EMV uses a special double-motion agitation group that combines an auger for vertical lifting of product with an orbital arm that reaches the full product volume. The result is very gentle mixing that suits low-density substances, with no bottom support and full discharge from the conical base.
The family covers a wide range of products and physical properties. The Mixodry EMV/DE replaces the auger group with single, double, or heated helix agitators for heavy and viscous powders, while the Multidry EV is a flat-bottom pan dryer whose increased heat exchange surface optimizes drying times across varied chemical and physical profiles. All versions operate under vacuum to dry heat-sensitive products at reduced temperatures.
Each dryer is offered in chemical, pharmaceutical, and sterile versions, with the drive mechanism separated from the process area to protect product purity. Dedicated CIP devices clean the vessel, seal recess, dust filter, and discharge valve in place.
Materials of construction: 316L stainless steel, duplex stainless steels, Alloy C22, and titanium, with other materials on request.

Dryer Range

Key Features
Double-Motion Agitation
The Mixodry EMV combines an auger that lifts product vertically with an orbital arm that involves the full product volume, giving very gentle agitation and full discharge with no bottom support.
Vacuum Drying
Operation from -1 barg to atmospheric lets heat-sensitive products dry at reduced temperatures across a design range of -25 °C to +200 °C.
Oil-Free Pharma Drive
An oil-free transmission inside the vessel uses a bevel gear and transmission chain in place of a gear-and-oil-bath drive, with the drive mechanism separated from the process area to protect product purity.
Lip Seal on Main Shaft
A lip seal accommodates the asymmetric stress and shaft run-out produced by the agitator, with a double mechanical seal option (flushed, dry running, or gas lift-off) available.
Integrated CIP
Dedicated clean-in-place devices serve the vessel, seal recess, process connections, top-mounted dust filter, and discharge valve, supporting chemical, pharmaceutical, and sterile versions.
Contained Discharge
A pneumatically operated segmented ball valve with inflatable seal handles bottom discharge, and a Pack-Off isolator provides containment up to OEB5.
