Cleaning-in-Place Systems — McFlusion
Overview

The MEC range is McFlusion’s clean-in-place platform for the automated cleaning and sanitization of pharmaceutical process equipment. It spans portable, wheeled MEC+ units for decentralized cleaning of difficult-to-clean applications and frame-mounted, fixed-installation MEC+ systems for centralized or decentralized cleaning of larger and complex equipment.
Every unit is built on the same modular hardware and software platform: an Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLC, a 12″ PC-based touchscreen HMI, and full TACCT parameter control. Operators work from a full recipe editor with alarm handling and cycle reporting to PDF, supported by full instrumentation for level, pressure, flow, temperature, and conductivity. Adjustable pressure, flow rate, temperature, and chemical concentration let each cycle be matched to the application.
Frames are AISI 304 stainless steel, with portable units mounted on four wheels and fixed systems on six adjustable feet. All wetted parts are AISI 316L stainless steel. The portable range covers pharmaceutical oral solid and liquid dosage forms, chemical API, and ointment, liquids, and creams segments.
Every system is prepared for full integration with process equipment and facility systems.

Key Features
TACCT Parameter Control
Full TACCT control governs time, action, concentration, and temperature so each cleaning cycle runs to validated, repeatable parameters.
Allen Bradley PLC and HMI
An Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLC paired with a 12″ PC-based touchscreen HMI runs every unit on one modular hardware and software platform.
Recipe Editor and Cycle Reporting
A full recipe editor with alarm handling lets operators build and adjust cleaning programs, with cycle reporting exported to PDF for the batch record.
316L Wetted Parts
An AISI 304 stainless steel frame carries AISI 316L stainless steel wetted parts throughout the fluid path on both portable and fixed builds.
Full Process Instrumentation
Each unit monitors level, pressure, flow, temperature, and conductivity, with adjustable pressure, flow rate, temperature, and chemical concentration.
Portable and Fixed Configurations
Wheeled MEC+ units serve decentralized cleaning while frame-mounted MEC+ systems handle centralized or decentralized cleaning of larger equipment.
Applications
- Fluid bed dryers, blenders, and hi/low shear mixers
- Coating pans, spray drying equipment, and cyclones
- Reactors, IBCs, and formulation vessels
- Packaging and filling lines with transfer lines
- Aseptic fill lines, bioreactors, and freeze dryers
- Storage and holding tanks and ultrafiltration skids
