Overview

ChargePoint Single Use Passive valve

The Single Use Passive (SUP) is the disposable, all-plastic passive half of ChargePoint’s split butterfly valve system. It docks with a reusable active valve to form a single sealed unit for contained powder transfer, then is discarded after use. This removes the cleaning, maintenance, and validation that a reusable passive valve would require.

The SUP can be welded directly to a ChargeBag PE-SBV for a fully single-use contained path from bag through valve, or connected by tri-clamp to a container or process port. Gamma sterilizable construction makes it suitable for aseptic applications.

Manufactured in an ISO 6 cleanroom under an ISO 9001 quality system. All product contact materials are FDA 21 CFR 177 and USP Class VI compliant.

Key Features

No Cleaning or Validation

The passive valve is discarded after use, removing the cleaning, maintenance, and validation effort that a reusable passive would carry on every transfer.

Welds to ChargeBag PE-SBV

A direct weld to the single-use bag creates a fully single-use contained path, from the powder in the bag through the valve interface.

Gamma Sterilizable

Irradiated at 25 to 50 kGy for aseptic applications, supplied individually sleeved from an ISO 6 cleanroom.

Works With Standard SBV Actives

Docks with ChargePoint reusable active valves through the standard docking system, so a single-use passive can be used wherever an active is installed.

Compliant All-Plastic Build

PA, TPE, and HDPE product contact materials meet FDA 21 CFR 177 and USP Class VI for pharmaceutical use.

Contained Dust Handling

Rated for dust explosion Zones 20, 21, and 22, Explosion Group III, for handling combustible powders.

Applications

  • Chemical synthesis: seed, intermediates, actives, and API
  • Solid dose formulation: API, excipients, formulations, tablets, and capsules
  • Aseptic processing and filling: API and closure components such as vial stoppers
  • Bioprocessing: buffer and media powders
